Business Days Between Two Dates

You choose. The calculator offers an inclusive mode (both endpoints count) and an exclusive mode (neither does). Decide which convention your contract or process uses before you read the number — that single choice is the most common source of off-by-one errors.

The holidays of whichever country you select, on top of Saturdays and Sundays. If your organisation observes days that are not national holidays, add them as custom closures so they are removed from the count too.

Because those switches decide whether each boundary day is inside the range. A duration question ("how long is this project?") normally excludes one end; a deadline question ("how many days do I have?") normally includes it. Neither convention is more correct, and the difference is exactly one day at each end — which is why publishing the count without the convention is how two careful people end up disagreeing.

Yes. The custom holidays box takes any list of dates, one per line, and removes them in addition to whatever national and regional calendars you have selected. Use it for shutdown weeks, site stand-downs and regional observances that are not in any national list. Custom dates are added to the selected calendars rather than replacing them, so deselect the countries if you want your own list to govern alone.

Select both. The calculator treats a day as non-working if it is a holiday on any selected calendar, which is the conservative reading and usually the right one for a deadline that needs people available in both places. If only one side’s office hours actually matter for the obligation, select that one only — combining them will understate the working days available.
